Carl Craven has lived in villages, towns, and cities in Venezuela, Texas, Nevada, and Arizona. His father once traveled around Texas in a covered wagon and survived by hunting small animals on the Texas hardscrabble, a man who in the 1940s took his young family on a five-year adventure in Venezuela. Carl has earned his living as a construction worker, a math teacher, a computer programmer, a business executive, and a systems analyst. His passions have included salt water fishing, tennis, bowling, poker, hiking, and reading. He lives in Gilbert, Arizona, with his wife, Pat.
